BBNet joins other BBSRC funded networks to provide vital LCA training to network members

BBNet has joined together with other BBSRC funded networks, HVBNet, EBNet and Supergen Bioenergy Hub, to provide a lifecycle analysis training opportunity for network members.

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a rapidly evolving tool used to determine impacts of products or systems over a range of environmental and resource issues. Applying this method of assessment is complex and difficult and translating the theory into a credible, transparent and applicable practice can be very challenging. Providing training on the subject for network members working in the bio-based sector will ensure that the fundamental aspects of LCA are considered in future projects and funding applications, enabling participants to assess different methodologies, understand how to interpret results and implement the practical elements.

The networks have jointly commissioned University College London to deliver the course, which will take place on 26 and 27 November in York.

Expressions of interest are now being taken, and will close on Thursday 10th October at 5pm.
